Introducing the updated manual for the Ophelia (Optimising Health Literacy and Access) 

Ophelia (Optimising Health Literacy and Access) is an approach for developing grounded health interventions through authentic community consultation, meaningful engagement, and collaboration. Ophelia projects seek to improve health outcomes and equity by increasing the availability and accessibility of health information and services in locally appropriate ways.

SPHERE launches research magazine

The first issue of In-SPHERE is packed to the brim with articles about exciting research including a study on an innovative treatment program for low back pain, a new medical device which could see improved treatment outcomes for people with chronic constipation and faecal incontinence, and insight into the positive and negatives of Birth in the time of COVID.

In addition to articles on the latest research, three exceptional women are profiled in this edition of In-SPHERE including SPHERE’s Consumer and Community Involvement Lead, Ainslie Cahill AM, the Co-Lead of our Age and Ageing Clinical Academic Group, Associate Professor Genevieve Steiner-Lim and Cancer CAG Research Fellow, Dr Georgina Kennedy.

Statistical support for allied health clinicians working on projects with a focus on mental health

Meet Dr Mohammed Mohsin

Dr Mohammed Mohsin currently works as Senior Research Statistician/Principal Scientific Officer with the Mental Health Research Unit, SWSLHD, NSW Health, and Conjoint Associate Professor of Medicine and Health, UNSW. Dr Mohsin has worked over the last 25 years with NSW Health and various health professionals providing statistical advice.
