The REGIS ethics and governance application system incorporates the National Health and Medical Research Council’s ethics application form, the Human Research Ethics Application, the Site-Specific Assessment application, post-approval and authorisation forms, progress reports, safety notifications and amendments, bringing all forms and documentation into one portal.

Getting started with NVivo for Windows
NVivo allows researchers to simply organise and manage data from a variety of sources including surveys, interviews, articles, video, email, social media and web content, PDFs and images. Coding your data allows you to discover trends and compares themes as they emerge across different sources and data types. Using NVivo memos and visualisations combined with the ability to integrate with popular bibliographic tools you can get your research ready for publication sooner.

SMGCP online Refresher & Short course modules

Sophie Mepham GCP provides TransCelerate accredited and CPD certified Good Clinical Practice online training in under an hour. The training is specifically designed for site clinical trials staff, or for those looking to work at site, such as Principal Investigators, Sub Investigators, Research Coordinators, Research Nurses, Clinical Research Assistants, Data Managers, Research Assistants and Pharmacists who work at Hospitals, Research Institutes and Universities. Students can choose between either the self-guided course for a fast yet comprehensive training program or, for a more indepth and detailed training option, select the guided course which features Sophie Mepham delivering with more detail and real-life scenarios. This GCP training is designed and ideally suited to clinical trials staff who are working at site level or who are looking for a career at site level.

DReSA: a portal for digital research training in Australasia
Digital Research Skills Australasia (DReSA), a portal for discovering digital research training events, materials, providers and trainers in Australia, New Zealand, and the region. DReSA is a critical piece of the ARDC's National Digital Research Skills Agenda, providing skills uplift opportunities across the sector. It was developed by the National Training Registry (NTR) Working Group, which was formed at the ARDC Skills Summit in 2020. The working group partnered with ELIXIR’s TeSS platform, and an exchange of the TeSS infrastructure resulted in the development of DReSA.

Or is it more like glazed-over eyes, sleepy head nods, and uncomfortable silences at question time?

If your audience seems more captive than captivated when you talk about your research, then your audience is probably not seeing the value of your research, and you may be missing out on opportunities to advance in research. Learning how to become a captivating speaker could help you enhance the impact of your research (e.g., by increasing the likelihood that it will be adopted by other researchers or groups), and could also help you obtain ongoing opportunities in research (e.g., through philanthropic funding, further invitations to speak at conferences, collaborations, grants or jobs).

In this 90-minute training, Prof. Amanda Salis will show you strategies to help you become more captivating when you talk about your research. This comes from her experience of talking with diverse audiences about her research for over 30 years. This includes interviews with local, national and international TV and radio stations, live workshops and Zooms for the general public and researchers about research and research methodology, many of which were booked to capacity, over 75 oral presentations at national and international conferences, as well as helping members of her research team to prepare oral conference presentations, some of which led to best presentation awards.
