Where can I publish my research?

Are you searching for a journal to publish your research?

If can be challenging to find a publication 'home' for your research. There are some helpful tools and websites that can help you find a suitable journal.

Western Sydney University "Journal Finder"  https://journalfinder.library.westernsydney.edu.au/

Journal Finder is a tool developed by researchers at Western Sydney University. It is designed to help researchers compare and evaluate the relevant journals in their particular field. The aim is to ensure that your work is published in high quality outlets that fit the scope of your research.

It is recommended that you identify a journal before you start writing your article - you need to know the word or page limit, and formatting before you start writing (including knowing the limit for number of tables, figures, appendicies, and references).

J.A.N.E. (Journal Author Name Estimator) Biosemantics https://jane.biosemantics.org/  If you type in the keywords relevant to your research into JANE Biosemantics, you will quickly get a list of potentially suitable journals.

Once you have found a potential journal - go and find out more about it! You want to make sure the journal is high quality. You can use Scimago for this task - is provides a wealth of information about individual journals https://www.scimagojr.com/index.php
