 Congratulations Dr Bernadette Brady!

Congratulations to Dr Bernadette Brady (Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist) who has been nominated for NSW Public Servant of the Year at the NSW Premier's Awards. The awards ceremony will be held in November 2024.

 

 Congratulations Allied Health SWSLHD Quality Award winners

Congratulations to Dr Kate Short (Transforming Your Experience - Clinical award) and Dr Katherine Kelly (Staff Member of the Year Award) on their awards at the recent SWSLHD Quality Awards. 

 

 REGIS eLearning Module

REGIS: The Fundamentals for Researchers & Coordinators training module is now available via My Health Learning. This module has looks at the fundamentals of REGIS such as registering your project, creating your ethics and site applications, understanding the external portal, and understanding the different user roles and permissions in REGIS. Upon completion, users will have the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to:

  • Understand and navigate the different sections of the external portal
  • Update your user account and understand what information flows through and to where
  • Register your human research project
  • Understand what information flows from your project registration to your ethics and/or site applications
  • Understand the different user roles and permissions
  • Complete an ethics and site application

The module takes approximately 45 minutes to complete, with a certificate issued on successful completion. A second module is currently being created with the focus being on the post-approval activities in REGIS.

 

 Implementation Science Academy Journal Club

The Sydney Health Partners Implementation Science Academy Journal Club meets once a month, bringing together health professionals and researchers from across Australia and internationally. Each month via Zoom, a member selects a paper and presents its findings, followed by a lively debate. The Club also shares a summary of the discussions on Twitter. 

The journal club is held on the second Monday of each month at 12-1pm. Please email shp.implementationscience@sydney.edu.au to join.

 

 Allied Health QI/Research Drop In Sessions

Fortnightly drop in sessions via Zoom/Teams are available for SWSLHD allied health clinicians seeking support with QI/research ideas or activities. Please see below dates for upcoming sessions and email Dr Caitlin McMaster (caitlin.mcmaster@sydney.edu.au) for meeting details if you would like to attend. 

- Wednesday 15th October 10am-12pm

- Monday 4th November 9am-11am

- Wednesday 20th November 9am-11am

 

 EndNote 20 Citation Management Software

If you would like EndNote software on your hospital PC or laptop, you can now request EndNote 20 software via the CLIN Libraries at no cost to your department.

EndNote 20 is now available on CLIN Libraries’ PCs for Hospital staff and students to access!
